headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 years olds. The service is designed to make it as easy as possible for a young person and their family to get the held they need for problems affecting their wellbeing. This covers four core areas: mental health, physical health, work and study support, and alcohol and other drug services. Open Minds in the lead agency for headspace Redcliffe and Taringa.
About the Opportunity
Open Minds is currently recruiting for fully registered and unrestricted General Practitioners for our headspace centres located in Redcliffe and Taringa. You will have access to flexible working arrangements and be fully supported by a team consisting of Clinical Lead, Practice Administrator, Intake Team, and Admin and Reception staff.
The headspace service model attempts to overcome many of the barriers to care experienced by youth aged 12-25 years and was designed to complement existing primary care and specialist services. The principle aim of headspace is to establish a highly accessible multidisciplinary model of care to target the core needs of young people surrounding Redcliffe and Taringa.
headspace Redcliffe and Taringa aim to build greater awareness of youth mental health and create youth and family friendly service environments that encourage young people with mental health concerns to seek appropriate help and to do so early. Accordingly, headspace Redcliffe and Taringa strive to ensure early detection and early intervention in emerging mental illness and substance disorders, and provide an integrated response to both clinical and non-clinical supports to young people aged 12-25.

- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with a minimum of two (2) years work experience in Australia
- Must hold relevant qualifications and have full Unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Must be eligible for a Medicare Provider Number and be able to work unsupervised
