The Northern Area consists of Hubs located in Redcliffe (including our Henry Street accommodation site), Sunshine Coast (including our NPS Program), and Bundaberg.The role provides leadership that supports and promotes the organisational strategic direction and meets customer requirements. We are seeking a strong, developed leader who is passionate, client centric and people focused.As the Area NDIS Manager, Metro North your key responsibilities will include:Support the strategic initiatives of Open Minds, in particular business development and growth targets;Lead teams to support participants to turn their NDIS plans into actions within a recovery orientated framework;Ensure quality service delivery through effective workforce planning solutions;Proactively coach, mentor and motivate team leaders and team members, driving a performance culture with a focus on building capability;Establish and sustain internal and external stakeholder networks to support quality service delivery and new growth;Support the provision of information to government, agencies, the public, funders, community groups;Manage, monitor and review service provision to meet financial targets and budget expectations.Lead team through change with a strong focus on continuous improvement.Key RequirementsEducation and qualificationsRelevant Bachelor level qualifications such as management, human services, or mental health coupled with relevant management experience.Essential skills, knowledge and experience3+ years’ experience at a management level in Mental Health Sector and/or Human Services.Understanding of the principles and governing standards of the Disability Services Act (Qld 2006) and the National Mental Health Standards, Restrictive Practices and the NDIS Standards and how they relate to providing effective and accountable services.Working knowledge in the application and interpretation of the SCAHDS Award.Knowledge of sector reforms within government impacting on the non-government sector, in particular NDIS.Knowledge and experience in NDIS services and related financial understanding.Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience in managing and working to budgets.Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience working at a management level in a complex business.Strong ability to coach, support and develop staff and to build collaborative, high performing teams.Ability to multi task and to meet deadlines in a high demand work environment.Benefits we offerCompetitive salary; $85,000- $94,000 Base + 9.5% Superannuation + $10,000 Car Allowance.Option to salary sacrifice up to $15,900 in living expenses and an additional $2,650 for entertainment per FBT year. Key Requirements

Education and qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor level qualifications such as management, human services, or mental health coupled with relevant management experience.

  • 3+ years’ experience at a management level in Mental Health Sector and/or Human Services.
